Pivot Demo Day Saturday In Snowflake/Saturday Trail Building

Pivot Demo Day Saturday: Just a reminder that the Pivot Demo Day will be this coming Saturday in the Snowflake Not so Secret Anymore Trails. Pivot will be there from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will have their camp set up at the Snowflake bike park.  Pick up times for analog bikes start at 9:00 a.m., with e-bikes ready to ride at 10:00 a.m. It is going to be cooler than it has been in a while on Saturday morning, with a predicted low for the Snowflake area Friday night projected around 28 degrees. So definitely bring your layers! But worry not, you'll be warm after the first climb. There's a small chance for some precipitation, but if that happens it will probably only improve the riding experience as a little moisture does these trails some good most of the time.

If you haven't been there before, from Show Low head north to Snowflake, Arizona on Highway 77 and when you get into Snowflake, hang a left hand turn at the Maverick gas station on W. 7th S. Street and go mostly west about 2.5 miles, crossing the "Jake Flake" crossing of Silver Creek until you come across the Snowflake bike park on your left. Don't miss out!

TRACKS Saturday Trail Work Sessions: From the TRACKS Trail Master Steve Dobbs, on three upcoming Saturday Trail work sessions, the first of which is this Saturday morning:

TRACKS is going to have work sessions the next 3 Saturday mornings. Garth Orkney is going to head these up.

"This Saturday we will meet at Mountain Meadows recreation complex near the bathrooms at 8:00. Plans are for this to be the last polish on the 2 short trails connecting Mountain Meadows to the Hitching Post trail. Long range goal of the town is to host a mountain bike race. Parking will be at the complex and the 2 trails will be access to the race course. The northern access is fairly straight and the southern access (nearest the restrooms) is a lot curvier with banking on the curves. The TRACKS tool trailer will be there. Bring water, gloves, and sunscreen. There are plenty of tools."

Steve indicates that trail work sessions will be done on the following two Saturdays as well, but those work sessions have yet to be finalized. If you have questions can reach Garth at orkneyaz@yahoo.com and (602) 369-7383. When more information is available it will be provided.
